GRUNGE MASTERPOST

I’m trying to get a few people into grunge and I was making a list of useful downloads for newbies; I decided to post it because I’ve never seen one on tumblr and it’s Christmas and yeah! Includes the basic studio discographies of the “Seattle Four”, plus a few cult proto-grunge or side project albums. I’ve downloaded most of the links myself to check if they work; 90% of the stuff are @320kbps. Message me if any links are broken or if you have suggestions or questions or w/e. Will be constantly updated.

Alice in Chains:

Nirvana:

Pearl Jam:

Soundgarden:

Temple of the Dog: Temple of the Dog | Mad Season: Above | Mother Love Bone: Shine; Apple | Hole: Pretty on the Inside; Live Through This | Hater: Hater | Green River: Come On Down; Dry As A Bone/Rehab Doll | Mudhoney: Superfuzz Bigmuff; Piece of Cake | Malfunkshun: Return to Olympus | Screaming Trees: Uncle Anesthesia

In 1979, “Poseidon” was crafted outside of the United States Courthouse in downtown New York City. Artist Eric Staller enlarged a photo of the Greek sculpture “Poseidon Soter at Artemisium” and mounted it on a board with a single strand of holiday lights. He then turned the lights off and on while lowering the light-enhanced Greek god cutout to the ground. To capture this image, he used a tripod and left the camera’s shutter open for several minutes. Photo courtesy of Eric Staller viaEricStaller.com.
